About the Author

Jill Kennedy studied Art and Design in Bristol and Textiles at the University of Illinois. She has wide experience of teaching at both adult and secondary levels. She learned the techniques of silk painting in Brussels and now lives in Buckinghamshire, England, where she continues to run courses, work with textiles and sell her work to art galleries and craft shops.Jane Varrall is a teacher of textiles and teaches in adult education. She and her husband live in Brussels, where she sells and exhibits her work. For the past seven years she has been teaching classes in silk painting.
